Orfalea College of Business
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo

Cal Poly is a nationally ranked, four-year, comprehensive public university located in San Luis Obispo, California. The emphasis of the University is a "learn by doing" educational experience for its more than 18,000 students. Many students seek admission to Cal Poly not only because of its excellent academic reputation, but also because the 6,000 acre main campus is nestled in the foothills of San Luis Obispo, just minutes from California's Central Coast beaches.

Paul J. Orfalea and his family donated a gift of securities worth $15 million to the College of Business. The donation was earmarked to enhance the quality and scope of business education for Cal Poly students. The CSU Board of Trustees voted in 2001 to approve the naming of the Orfalea College of Business in recognition of this generous gift.

The Orfalea College of Business challenges highly motivated students to become tomorrow's socially responsible business leaders through a learn-by-doing, technology-oriented education.

University of California at Santa Barbara

More than 200 majors, degrees, and credentials are offered through UC Santa Barbara’s five schools and the Graduate Division at its 990 oceanside acres 100 miles north of Los Angeles.

In May 2005, Kinko's founder Paul Orfalea and the Orfalea Family Foundation pledged critical seed money to establish a novel graduate program and center in global and international studies that focuses on the academic preparation of professionals to work in the global non-profit sector as well as in international government and multinational business.

The Center is called “The Orfalea Center for Global & International Studies” in appreciation of the gift. Paul Orfalea is currently a distinguished visiting professor in the Global and International Studies Program at UCSB, where he teaches a popular course in global business.

Clinton-Orfalea Scholarship Program

In January 2007, the Orfalea Family Foundation and the William J. Clinton Foundation, in partnership with the University of Southern California, created the Clinton-Orfalea Fellowship Program. Clinton Foundation, pursuing the organization’s global and domestic initiatives.

The Clinton Foundation works to strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence. The Clinton Foundation works principally through partnerships with like-minded individuals, organizations, corporations, and governments, often serving as an incubator for new policies and programs.

The Clinton Foundation seeks highly motivated, high achieving fellows with a demonstrated commitment to practical social action and the desire to pursue long-term careers in public service roles in business, government, non-profit service agencies and/or non-governmental organizations. Fellows will spend a year as full-time, paid professional associates in Clinton Foundation programs.
